The integral ministration

Apostle Sergio Enríquez O.

As the church of the Lord we need to understand that we cannot congregate only as a costume, because in the Bible we can see the case of Zachariah, the father of John the Baptist, who entering the Holy of Holies as it was his costume and he left the place deaf and mute because he was not prepared; therefore we must understand the motive for congregating. As humans, we were integrally design with a spirit, a soul and a body and we have to know how to minister each part of our being accordingly. Ministration is associated with liberation, but it has to do with service, and it could be called full service, the same way we give care to our vehicles with service also we could ask how often we give ministration to our soul. Integrity means complete; and some people do not have their being complete because their spirit is death and their soul will do as it pleases; in such way that the spirit, when it is resurrected by means of receiving Christ Jesus in their heart, it has to be full of the Holy Spirit to be able to overcome the soul. John 11:1 RSV now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha In this case Lazarus represents the spirit, Maria the soul and Marta is figurative the body. In the Gospel we understand that we cannot live without the resurrection of our spirit, even when we were born into a Christian family and we are honorable people, but we continue being in the Lazarus condition, death, we cannot be participants of the life in Christ. In this chapter he dies and is resurrected by our Lord Jesus. This as a figure of the new birth in Christ, like Jesus told Nicodemus: “It is necessary for you to be born again” (John 3-3) destroying all of his knowledge. If we are not born again there is no good service given to our integral being and even when we go to all religious activities our spirit is dead; however with a vivified spirit will be opposed to the wrong desires of our soul; and that is why Paul the Apostle said in:Rom 7:19 RSV For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do.Lazarus means: “God has helped” before we were born again we were like sepultures but we were resurrected By Christ our Lord. Once resurrected, there will be battles with the soul, and sometimes we can overcome and others we do not for our feelings are in our soul and also our intellect which opposes the spirit; in this verse we can see that Lazarus attracted multitudes, for the Bible says that multitudes followed Jesus to be able to see Lazarus resurrected (John 12) then, if we want to have people get to know Jesus, we have to show our being resurrected. Marie is the Greek name for Miriam and in Hebrew it means rebellion which is interesting since Maria represents the soul and we see that she chose to listen to the Word of God. Which means, that our soul needs the Word of God and analyzing the history of Miriam (Moses sister) we see that as long as she was near water (figure of the word) she did extraordinary things, for example at 92 years of age she took the Exodus RSV 15:20 Then Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a t her tambouring; and all the women went out after her with tambouring and dancing. She shows the figure of leader for many women follow her at her dancing and singing: However when she was away from water, she gossiped against her brother and she sinned. Meaning that our soul when is away from the word of God can be deceiving and only God can control; Jer 17:9 RSV The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately corrupt; who can understand it? 10 “I the LORD searches the mind and tries the heart, to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” Marta means “the lady who gives orders” she represents the body because there are occasions in which the body and its desires want to take charge of us. Therefore, Paul said: 1Co 9:27 RSV but I pommel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualifiedMarta served nonstop, but spiritually if our soul does not listen to the word and our spirit is not vivified, we will easily be bothered; Marta was so annoyed that she scolded and gave orders to Jesus: Luke 10:40 RSV But Martha was distracted with much serving; and she went to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me 41 But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; 42 one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.” Among the brethren there are some who serve with an angry attitude and that is because we do it in the flesh, and they have to seated to listen to the Word and to worship to have the ministration of their soul; then, during their service they give a bad treatment to their fellow man, and that is not correct because they also are given of their own time to the Lord.John 12:1RSV Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 There they made him a supper; Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at table with him. 3 Mary took a pound of costly ointment of pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment. In this occasion Lazarus sat at the table, Marta still serving but in a good mood and Maria pours down on the feet of the Lord an expensive perfume and the house was full of the aroma. What we have to look for our spirit to be vivified and growth so that the blessing will reach to our soul and body, in such way that we can have delight in listening to the Word and in our service to the Lord.
