I was meditating a few days ago on all of the gifts God was bringing to His people, and one was the new temple we now have. He put in my heart that if He gives us something material, He also has something spiritual for our lives. However, I have realized that sometimes we can cling to things, material things, our souls cling to things that can inhibit us from flowing or advancing. For me to be here, I have had to pass through many restorations. As the vessels of God, He inspects us and finds out if we are still in need and at times, the restoration process can hurt and can we complain. But, when He says we are ready, we are ready and the new from Him can come. What I want to tell you is that something new from God is pouring out, and if you do not let it flow over your life, you will not be able to realize the marvels that He is pours through His children.
We should not be left behind as spectators but rather expect to receive and snatch what He has for us. Because we have been switching between both temples, I have noticed some of us find it difficult to adapt and we have cling on to our old seats, or we think “the old row we used to sit in is where the spirit moved, but in this row He does not.” But that temple was built with love and with our hard work, more than just an earthly house. God is pouring new things for your lives. He wants to give you spiritual gifts and talents. God told me to walk for He wants to restore me, and this is something we all need. Yet, if we do not let the Lord restore us, we will not be able to enjoy all of the new things He brings or pours out. I am not sure how many have perceived that even now He is pouring out, but sometimes we have things in our souls that do not permit us to receive it. It is because there are things that we have not let go of, things we have carried in our walk from previous generations, burdens that He does not want to see us with and we need to hand them over to Him. That way, you can delight and appreciate the new things He has in store for you. All of those chains and bindings do not let you see the things God is pouring over your life. I was praying to God that I wanted to see and contemplate the marvels of His glory, and delight myself in Him, and I do not know if you want that as well, but snatch it, because there are many coming behind us ready to snatch those gifts. I have seen them snatch, pour out, and believe. Tender people telling the Lord they believe and those are the ones that God is using to glorify His name. Tonight, God wants to remove those areas that hold you back and do not let you be free. Today is the day for your liberation. Today, a breach has opened so you can walk in faith and say you want some of those promises. Praise be to God.
‘ “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.’
Matthew 11:28 (NASB)
We are days away from finishing our year of rest. How many of us have actually rested in the Lord? How many have achieved and delighted themselves in that rest despite the trials and battles? God told me that because we do not surrender, we cannot achieve it. His word has no end. He says for us to go to Him if you are overworked or cannot go any further or if your burdens are many so that He can give you rest and restore you.
Because brothers and sisters, forgive me for saying this, but sometimes we allow ourselves to be filled with small garbage, that only cause harm, and rather than advance they hold us back and make us retract. God does not want to see you held back. He wants you to advance with quick and firm steps, absent of afflictions and anguish. It is difficult, but not impossible, which is why God tells us to come to Him if we are weary, come into His arms and surrender and receive His rest. Only that way will you be able to see how God begins to give you of His anointing, His wine, His oil. If you have desired to serve Him, He can grant that. Only give Him your heart. If you have been Christian over 20 years and still find yourself tired, come to him.
In the scriptures, I have found that there are things that God uses that have both a physical and spiritual use, one of which is water. The water of the word that brings life and flow, the water that is used to clean and fill you. The word of Him who came to die for us brings life. Water is important for our restoration.
‘ “The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none, And their tongue is parched with thirst; I, the Lord , will answer them Myself, As the God of Israel I will not forsake them. “I will open rivers on the bare heights And springs in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water And the dry land fountains of water.’
Isaiah 41:17-18 (NASB)
Are there afflicted here? Are there needy here? Today the Lord comes with His water to satisfy and clean you. God will not abandon you. If you come thirsty, God comes with His water to restore you. Look at the promise God makes to the afflicted in verse 18. I am needy and I know those waters will restore me. God will open your well, the one the enemy wanted to close by accusing you, spiritual gifts and talents you have yet to use. God will water those dry areas, where gifts had been buried. Declare with faith that with God’s water and Holy Spirit, your well will be opened.
The Ezekiel river in chapter 47 first begins with the water level at the ankles and walking further into the river, the deeper we get. How far would you like His water to reach you? I want to be submerged in His river, when you can no longer walk in the river and have to swim, all of the dry areas are no more.
‘It will come about that every living creature which swarms in every place where the river goes, will live. And there will be very many fish, for these waters go there and the others become fresh; so everything will live where the river goes.’
Ezekiel 47:9 (NASB)
Today the Lord wants to heal you with His water.
The next thing is the oil, which has many applications. However, the story of the good Samaritan comes to my mind. Perhaps you are like the man lying on the ground with open wounds and today God comes to heal your soul like the Samaritan. He comes with wine and oil to soften the wounds. Today God comes to those wounds, opening your soul and removing all that was causing you harm.
‘But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.’
Luke 10:33-34 (NASB)
Like with the Samaritan, He comes to heal illnesses perhaps literal ones and spiritual ones, to heal your home which can be in bad health, whether financially or spiritually. I go back to the example of clinging to your seat in the old temple to tell you not to cling to things that may cause you harm. I can advocate that God is with us, from allowing this temple expand to giving us a new one. God has new things for us and He does not want you to stay behind. Today, let go and do not regret, surrender so you can advance and be restored or all you will be able to do is hear of what He has done without living it yourself.
The last thing I want to talk about is honey, which can be used for inflammation. God comes with honey to heal and cover wounds.
‘Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.’
Proverbs 16:24 (NASB)
Today, God comes with everything: His water, oil, wine, and honey. Let Him come to heal you, your family, and home, so you can receive all that He desires to give you.
‘For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land where you will eat food without scarcity, in which you will not lack anything’
Deuteronomy 8:7-9 (NASB)
Brothers and Sisters, you will lack nothing either physical or spiritual. Receive the water, the oil, wine, and honey because God wants to heal and restore us. So come to Him for He is ready to heal you.
