Apostle Juan Castillo.
I know that the Lord will do great things with His church in these days; He knows all the things we treasure in our hearts but above all things, He desires to make us holy and glorious as He is. And when this happens, the world will see God’s glory in your life; you will be a living testimony, even when you walk your lowest and darkest valleys.
Romans 15:4(NKJV) For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
You and I have a past, but those were experiences that God used to taught us many things. Now, you just have to avoid looking back to your past, this will only bring accusation and sorrow. Instead, consider your life as a divine learning process in which you must set your eyes on Jesus.
Psalms 119:74Those who fear You will be glad when they see me, because I have hoped in Your word.
Every Christian should have all his hope in the word of God; for this reason we rejoice when we come to church, especially because it is a time to praise our Father and receive the counsel we need from Him. He is constantly sending blessings upon our heads and pouring His anointing to rot the yokes and to take away every burden from us. When you accept this reality, you can confess with faith that there is an everlasting hope that will not disappoint. Brethren, you are not here by chance, you are here because the Spirit of the Lord is working in your life.
Romans 5:5Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
As an example, we can consider the life of the apostle Paul, and how he endured every kind of sufferings. He was able to overcome all his sufferings because God’s love helped him and because he put his hope in the word of God. Now let’s see that the word hopehas its origin in the Greek elpiswhich means: to wait with desire, with pleasure, expectation and confidence.Dear brethren, you are not alone, the Lord said in Matthew 28:20… I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Now let me ask you: How are you waiting for the Lord? Are you waiting for Him with great expectation?Keep in mind that the world will always try to steal your hope and your joy. Don’t be as those Christians who are depressed, this is not the attitude the Lord wants from us.
Job 4:6Is not your reverence your confidence? And the integrity of your ways your hope?
Sometimes, we do not rejoice in the hope that God can provide a solution for our problem. But according to the bible, he who delights in the hope of Christ is the one who has a close relationship with Him. Let’s think about David for a moment, we read in the book of Psalms how he confessed his victory, he was a man who constantly prayed to God in the secret place. A well- known example of this is written in Psalms 23:1-2when he says: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.David knew that God takes care of His people, even in the darkest places, therefore He always put his hope in the Lord. Brethren, remember that God has plans for you, plans of good to give you a hope and a future. Therefore, stop looking to your past, it is time to put your eyes in Him who is your glorious future.
With all my heart I say to you brethren: You will not be disappointed!God doesn’t look to your past anymore, He looks to the future He prepared for you. Now, it is time to confess with all your faith: I have pleasure in the Lord, I am happy because Christ saved me!
Romans 5:3-4And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Let me ask you brethren: How will your character be formed? The bible says that God desires a certain type of character in His people; I Peter 3:4says: … with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. The Lord wants to form in us the character of Christ, that is, the character of a mighty conqueror. According to this, we should speak with faith, especially because we are heavenly and received everlasting life. Now you live in this world, but you do not belong here. A real conqueror will not speak or think about being defeated, he speaks according to God’s promises. Therefore, if you want to please God, you should never look back. Never let your enemies sing victory over you, instead, show them what kind of character you have. Now let me ask you: –Do you trust in the Lord, no matter the circumstances? The time of your reward is coming; it will be a time to laugh in the face of your calamity because God will open doors, He will also make highways where you thought it was impossible.
Job 5:16So the weak reborn to hope, and injustice shuts her mouth.
Brethren, if you feel weak, consider it as a good place to be; remember that God perfects His power in the midst of your weaknesses. This is shown in Abraham’s life when the bible says in Romans 4:18-19who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. This is a perfect example of how God works, that is, according to His laws and seasons. The Lord is not limited by our circumstances or deadlines.
Job 11:18And you would be secure, because there is hope; Yes, you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety.
In life, there are many situations that might bring confusion. But, in Christ we must know that our Father has the ideal solution for each of us. If you believe in His word, you will shout of joy because a new opportunity will come in the morning. Remember that our hope is not based on earth; our hope has its eternal anchor in heaven. Long before you came to this earth, you were appointed for a special purpose in Christ. For example, Daniel was confident even in the lions’ den. He was a man who had a constant relationship with God, therefore, he was well-known in heaven.
Daniel 6:20And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?”
As in the case of Daniel, if you are serving the Lord with all your heart, I can say that God will send His angels to close the lions’ mouths for you. Daniel 6:21Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”
Today, the Lord is asking the same question He asked to Peter: Do you love me?-If this is your case, you will serve the Lord with all your heart. But if you know that your love for Him is not enough, there is good news because God will restore you. Therefore I say: There is hope for you!
