Apostle Sergio Enríquez.
Adversity are situations that allow us to grow, using it properly, making us move away from our comfort zone, moving boundaries now well spiritually the Lord made everything beautiful in their time. We need to renew our understanding and understand the time we are living; life is beautiful as we live it we have to appreciate every time we live.
As we live four seasons our spiritual life also reflects the four seasons. There could be a winter time in which is so cold and nothing comes right but this season is necessary in order to live the spring time. In our family life there is a time to leave the house of your father and start your own family and live independently but there is time to encounter to those you left, maybe when your parents become older to take care of them; this are the seasons of our families.
We have to analyze which are the causes we are a part of our family; for example, for the celebration of thanksgiving families make a big effort to get together but most commonly they will argue at the end; because there comes the time to get together why do they argue? This is because they have a forced activity not because every member wants it is because they had to, unity is given by the spirit.
Family Recovering int the Bible
2Kings 20:1 (ESV)In those days Hezekiah became sick and was at the point of death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die; you shall not recover.’ “
What would you do if you knew the time of your death? The first thing we will probably do is to put everything in order, but why do we wait for a stressful situation like this to put everything in order. It is because the time of stress worked to move out from our comfort zone.
Esther 1:11 (ESV)to bring Queen Vashti before the king with her royal crown, in order to show the peoples and the princes her beauty, for she was lovely to look at.
In this verse we read a rupture in a couple; this is something that need to be fixed.
Malachi 4:1(ESV)“For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming shall set them ablaze, says the LORD of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
Here we read another rupture this time is among siblings; but the one who will touch the hear is the Lord, pushed by the Holy Spirit not by humans.
Isaiah 58:7 (ESV)Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? Your own flesh is your family, your blood.
Genesis 41:51 (ESV)Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh. “For,” he said, “God has made me forget all my hardship and all my father’s house.”
Joseph named his son because he believed he had forgotten his family but the Lord reminded him about them.
Genesis 50:18(ESV)His brothers also came and fell down before him and said, “Behold, we are your servants.”
If we do not go through a suffering process the family reunions will end up in an argument it is necessary to lower down our heads and approach to our family in a humble attitude. The Lord uses stressful situations to end up family problems. That all families could be one in Jesus. Amen.
