Breaking the besiege

Apostle Samuel Díaz.

The besiege H6696

A primitive root; to cramp, that is, confine(in many applications, literally and figuratively, formative or hostile): – adversary, assault, beset, besiege, bind (up), cast, distress, fashion, fortify, inclose, lay siege, put up in bags.

Let´s remember the case of Elisha that was surrounded and his servant felt fear but Elisha prayed the Lord to open his eyes and then his servant could see the armies of the Lord that were there to defend them.

2Ki 6:24-25 KJ2000  And it came to pass after this, that Ben-hadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up, and besieged Samaria. 25  And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until a donkey’s head wassold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a kab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.

There are people who has feel in that way

2Co 4:4 KJ2000 In whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

There are people that doesn’t do anything good for another one because they are always waiting for something back, and the Lord has commanded us to bless, we have to do it like we were doing it for the Lord Himself.

From H1121and H1908; sonofHadad;BenHadad, the name of several Syrian kings: – Ben-hadad.

Probably of foreign origin (compare H111); Hadad, the name of an idol, and of several kings of Edom: – Hadad.

The principle that besieges is the king of the storms, there were actually demons that were surrounding Samaria,

The world is being besieged nowadays, it is quite dangerous but is the enemy who is behind all these attacks. The internet is a very useful weapon use by the enemy to attack us, to destroy families.

1Co 10:23 KJ2000 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

The apostle Paul is clear with that commandment, we need to stay away from the evil issues, we are living in this world but we don´t belong here,

2Ki 6:25 KKJ2000 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until a donkey’s head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a kab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.

Besieging causes famine

2Ki 6:28-29 KJ2000  And the king said unto her, What ails you? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow. 29  So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give your son, that we may eat him: and she has hid her son.

That place were suffering such a big famine that people became cannibal with their own children, and this is a figure of parents that are insensible to their children´s need, we can see nowadays schools teaching about gender ideology and many parents don´t do anything about it, as we see in the previous next, one of the mothers were claiming justice but not for her dead son but for eating the other woman´s children.

2Ki 6:30-31 KJ2000  And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he tore his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth beneath upon his flesh. 31  Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this day.

In besiege, what they want is your head, heads of family, this is an attack against parents, but this also refers of the place where is the mind of Christ, eliminate the thoughts of God which is the only thing that can help us to defeat in a problem.

2Ki 6:33 KJ2000 And while he yet talked with them, behold, the messenger came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this evil is of the LORD; why should I wait for the LORD any longer?

This evil entity tried to rip these ministries head of, Elijah and Elisha and they couldn´t but it did it with John the Baptist, we must never stop praying for our ministries, for our parents and husbands. The enemy is behind your head.

2Ki 6:32 KJ2000 But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the king sent a man from before him: but before the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See you how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? look, when the messenger comes, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his master’s feet behind him?

Elisha knew about what the king wanted to do with him because the Lord told him. Close doors to evil, because we have weakness so let´s close doors and keep it in that way.

2Ki 7:1 KJ2000 Then Elisha said, Hear you the word of the LORD; Thus says the LORD, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

The Word of the Lord will give us victory.

2Ki 7:2 KJ2000 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, you shall see it with your eyes, but shall not eat of it.

We must believe or we will not see God´s blessings in our home, in our church, in our country.

2Ki 7:3-4 KJ2000  And there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? 4  If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the army of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.

God can use the leprous to bring blessings to our life, but we must be willing to receive it.

1Pe 1:18-19 KJ2000  Since you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain manner of life received by tradition from your fathers; 19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Your head has being sold because the Lord bought with his precious blood.
